2008 Study Skills Workshops

a workshop designed to help students learn, review and improve study skills

About the Workshops

Rose Lucas and College and School Planning Services are pleased to offer study skills workshops for the summer of 2008. Study skills workshops, first held in 1998, are tremendously popular, and, in fact, have been frequently requested during the school year.

Topics covered include:

Creating study areas

Prioritizing

Note taking

Test taking

Organizing

Reading and writing

Improved study skills will benefit students in all subject areas. This workshop will help students make their study time organized, productive and effective. It is appropriate for middle school, high school and college students.

Scheduling a Workshop

Each workshop will consist of two meetings;

the first meeting will last 90 minutes, the second follow-up meeting
will last one hour.

During each session, students will work one-on-one with the instructor. This will ensure time and flexibility in dealing with individual learning styles.

There will be a written assignment due at the second session.

The fee for the study skills workshop is $125. This includes all instruction, supplies, and a day planner.

If you are interested in participating in a workshop, please call the office at (859) 254-1256 or email us at al@csplan.com to arrange a time.
